Applying for Jobs in Denmark
The Danish application process has its own rules. Here's what trips up most international candidates — and how our tools help.
The "motiveret ansøgning" is not a cover letter
It is a one-page answer to "why this company, why this role, why now" — written personally and without the formal register most of us were taught. A template letter will read as exactly that: a template.
A great CV + a template letter often reads as "no motivation"
Half the people who feel rejected for lack of motivation simply sent a very good CV with a template letter. The fix is to write the motiveret ansøgning the way Danish employers actually expect — specific, personal, and to the point.
Danish-only job ads & CVs skimmed for a Danish-sounding employee name
That does not excuse the one-sided expectation, and it does not fix the ads that only exist in Danish or the CVs that get skimmed for a Danish-sounding employee name. We help you navigate both sides: translating ads and shaping your application to the local market.

Born from a Real Need
CoverLetterBetter wasn't built in a boardroom — it grew out of one job seeker's real experience and a simple question: why should great AI tools be reserved for prompt experts?
A Personal Need
While between jobs and applying for roles in the Danish labor market, I hit a hurdle — I am not a native Danish speaker. Striking the perfect tone in a CV and cover letter can be particularly challenging.
Experimenting with AI
I began experimenting with Google Workspace Vertex AI prompts. The results were fantastic, and I wondered: why should this technology be reserved only for those who have mastered complex AI prompting?
From Notes to Platform
Using lists on my iPhone and simple text files, I started structuring a solution. Since I am not a programmer myself, I found Base44.com, which enabled me to transform my advanced prompts into a simple, user-friendly website.
